Lucerne School of Computer Science and Information Technology
The application security and cryptography group at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts has several open positions to work on applied research projects in classical and quantum cryptography:
More junior candidates are equally encouraged to apply.
The successful candidates will be part of a small, but growing research team in Rotkreuz, Switzerland. Our research activities include
- Study practical Quantum Key Distribution and Quantum Random Number Generation protocols, analyze their security and develop secure and efficient alternative protocols.
- Integrate quantum and post-quantum-cryptographic solutions into existing IT systems
- Implement secure applications using multi-party computation protocols
- Actively collaborate with our research partners from academia (University of Geneva (group of Prof. Zbinden & Prof. Brunner) and ETH Zurich (group of Prof. Renner)) and industry (in IT-security, blockchain and finance).
We are looking for candidates with a strong background in quantum information and/or computer science (especially cryptography, IT security) and ideally experience in software engineering.
